The upcoming sixth edition of the Virtus Global Games will be held in Vichy, France, from June 4 to 10, 2023. Virtus Global Games is the world’s largest elite sporting event for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Thousands of athletes from all across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa, and Oceania will compete in eleven major sports.
VIRTUS’ member organization in France – the Fédération Française du Sport Adapté (FFSA) – is the organizer for this event. The FFSA team is experienced in organizing high quality international sporting events and has extensive support from governments and sports organizations to make the Virtus Global Games 2023 an outstanding event.
The Virtus Global Games is a premier event for athletes with intellectual disabilities to compete in high performance sports. It is specifically planned to be held every four years, the year prior to the Paralympic Games.
